Sick

We have been in Mississippi for a few days now but we have pretty much been sick with a horrible stomach virus since the second day we were here. I haven't been that sick in almost 5 years! We are all finally getting over it, but now Rob is working 12 hours days.

Here are my two latest articles, I was sick so bear with me.

Happy New Year

Well, we are back in NJ for the time being. Only a week actually. Rob is going to TDY to Maryland for a week and he wants us to go with him. He is going to be working a lot but supposedly the hotel has an indoor pool and free internet so I guess I'll live. :)
After we get back from there, we are going on his TDY to Mississippi. We are driving again...as much as driving sucked last time. But he will have his own car this time so he can spend more time with us as opposed to his last 2 TDY's to Gulfport. It also means that I get another few weeks with the kids. It is also Mardi Gras time, so we are going to TRY and get Mimi to stay with someone (my parents) for one night so we can actually go. It has been 3 years since we have gone to Mardi Gras. We'll see.
We rang in the New Year in the car, STILL driving home from Mississippi. The speed limits are so freakin slow in some of those states! It took forever to get home.
Christmas was really good. We had all the kids at my parents house. It was pure chaos, but fun anyway. I have a million pictures.
I went back to the dr yesterday, the Klonopin pretty much sucked, so she changed it to Xanax.
Mimi turned 20 months yesterday and I can hardly believe it. She is getting big so fast and I hate it. I just wish the monster had an interest in weaning! So far no luck though! She loves nursing and I hate it. But as usual, she wins. She calls nursing "buh byyyye" and she looks and me and says, "Buh byyye? Buh byyye?" Ugh, who can say no to that?
Joey is in Iraq, and from what he is saying to us anyway, everything is quiet. Rob got an email from him yesterday. I didn't though. hmm

All of my friends are having baby boys right now and I am jealous. Not that I need another kid. LOL Kimmy is having a little boy and he is inheriting Mimi's Sublime onesie. Things have really gone full circle, Kim and I used to inherit clothes from each other when we were kids (me more than her, she actually grew!), now OUR kids are sharing clothes. The thought of it makes me happy, but also makes me cry.

Marisa gets to go pick up baby Isaac in less than two weeks. I am beyond happy for her. I can't imagine the excitement she must be feeling herself.

I have been a mommy forever and now all of my childhood friends are becoming mommies. I am so thankful that we have been able to maintain friendship over all these years. Now our kids can know one another too. I can't wait to meet my new nephews.

I really should clean while Mimi is napping. Yeah, I don't feel like it. LOL

Getting Ready

I had so much stuff I wanted to say, now that I am sitting here I can't think of any of it!
I started my meds again after 3 years of being off of them. With the holidays and my brother being sent to Iraq, the anxiety just got to be too much. They put me on a different one (Klonopin) and I am not sure how much I like it yet.
Rob and I are doing awesome. He even brought me flowers out of the blue the other day. Today was his re-enlistment. He had it out in the field during his combat training class that he instructs. They shot off gun afterward so it was pretty cool. We stayed with him the rest of the day at work and got to watch him scream at students. He is definitely in his element out there. So much so that people are always amazed at how loving and different he is with me and Mimi.
We are getting ready to go to Mississippi for Christmas and we will have all of our children for the holidays. That is very very exciting for us! The 18 hour drive...not so exciting! I still have so much to do to get ready and here I sit, on the computer. I didn't sleep much last night though, so I am feeling lazy. We leave Friday, hopefully early because I keep getting phone calls asking when we will be there! They don't want to see us, its Mimi they are after!

I got paid for another article that I wrote last night. This one is about New Orleans. Check it out. www.associatedcontent.com/article/492605/best_tourist_attractions_in_new_orleans.html

Well, Rob and Mimi are waiting on me. I will try and remember more later.
